Step 2:
Double click on Make new Connection.

Step 3:
Type in Y Dialup in the "Type a name for the computer you are dialling" box, then click on next.

Step 4:
For the phone number type in 0860887249, then click next.

Step 5:
Click on finish. Now we must set up the properties for this dialup.

Step 6:
Double click on My Computer, usually in the top right hand corner of your screen. When the screen below opens, right click on Y Dialup and select properties.

Step 7:
Once properties is open you will be on the general tab untick the option "Use area code and Dialing properties", if the telephone number is not in use the one below.
Next select the "Server Types" tab.

Step 8:
On the server types tab make sure that the only options selected are Enable software compression and TCP/IP, as in the box below. Then click on TCP/IP settings.

Step 9:
Select the following as in the diagram below, "Server assigned IP address", "Server assigned name server addresses", "Use IP header compression", "Use default gateway on remote network".

Step 10:
Once you have done this press OK and OK again. Your dialup connection is now set up.
